Core Structural Components of Metal Molds for Plastic
Metal molds for plastic refer to metal molds used in plastic injection molding processes. The most common types in the industry are steel and aluminum. They are core molding tools for mass-producing plastic parts. The following is an introduction to their core structural components:
Industry-standard metal molds for plastic include five core structural modules:
1. Molding System: Composed of the cavity and core, it directly determines the shape and size of the finished plastic product and is the core functional part of the mold;
2. Gating System: The transport channel for the molten plastic, from the main runner and branch runners to the gate, ensuring that the melt evenly fills the entire cavity;
3. Temperature Control and Cooling System: Regulates the mold temperature through internal water channels, controlling the cooling and solidification rate of the plastic, directly affecting molding efficiency and product quality;
4. Ejection System: Uses ejector pins, ejector plates, and other structures to eject the solidified plastic product from the core, preventing sticking;
5. Guiding and Positioning System: Relying on guide pillars and bushings, it ensures precise alignment of the moving and fixed molds when they close, preventing misalignment that could lead to product scrap.
Qingdao Xueyu Molding Products Co., Ltd. is mainly engaged in the design and manufacturing of injection molds, injection molding and secondary processing (spraying, pad printing, ultrasonic welding, stamping), etc. For more information about metal molds for plastic, please contact us.
