Therefore, when designing plastic molds, we must clearly define the direction of pressure application to ensure the final working efficiency of plastic molds and the quality of plastic molds pressing. So, what principles should be followed in determining the direction of pressure application of plastic molds?
1. The design of the pressure application direction of plastic molds needs to facilitate feeding and pressure transmission.
2. The design of the pressure application direction needs to ensure that the plastic parts are densely organized. For example, when pressing long and thin-walled plastic parts into plastics with poor fluidity, the material is added and pressurized on both sides to ensure that the plastic parts are densely organized everywhere.
3. Facilitate the flow of plastics. For example, when pressurizing, the material flow direction should be consistent with the pressurization direction.
4. Ensure the strength of plastic molded parts to prevent deformation of molded parts, especially slender ones to avoid radial force. Complex surfaces should generally be placed in the lower mold.
5. To ensure the stability of the plastic mold, for example, when slender or tall plastic parts need to be pressurized along the vertical axis or along the height direction, a multi-cavity structure should be used, which can increase the shape of the plastic mold and increase stability.
6. It is convenient and reliable to place the inserts, and the inserts should be placed in the lower mold first. If it must be placed in the plastic mold convex mold, the inserts should be fixed by elastic clamping or other methods.
7. It is easy to eject plastic parts, prevent plastic parts from deformation, simplify the plastic mold structure, and when determining the pressurization direction, it should be given priority to make the plastic parts fall on the lower mold, but sometimes when it needs to fall on the upper mold, it is advisable to set up an upper ejection mechanism.
