The guiding mechanism of pipe fitting molds mainly includes two types: guide column guidance and cone positioning. The guide column guide mechanism is mainly used for guiding the opening and closing of the mold between the moving and fixed molds. The conical positioning mechanism is used for precise centering positioning between the moving and fixed molds.

The main functions of the guiding mechanism are threefold: positioning function - ensuring the correct position of the moving and fixed molds during mold closing, in order to maintain the correct shape of the mold cavity after mold closing; Guiding function - guide the moving mold to close correctly in sequence during mold closing, preventing damage to the concave and convex molds; Bearing function - the guide column bears partial lateral pressure during operation.

Generally speaking, having a guiding mechanism for the pipe fitting mold is sufficient for the correct positioning between the moving and fixed molds. However, due to the gap between the guide sleeve and the guide column, for thin-walled and precision plastic pipe fittings molds, only the guide column guide mechanism is not enough. It is also necessary to add a conical positioning mechanism between the moving and fixed molds to meet the requirements of precision positioning and coaxiality.
