Plastic injection molding automotive parts is a core process in lightweight automotive manufacturing, characterized by high-efficiency mass production and strong structural adaptability. 1. Core Process Flow
Preparation: Complete mold design and processing, select suitable engineering plastic granules, and pre-dry the materials.
Plasticization Stage: Plastic granules enter the barrel, are heated, and compressed by the screw shearing process, transforming into a uniformly molten melt.
Injection and Holding Pressure: High pressure pushes the melt into the closed mold cavity. Holding pressure and replenishing material offsets cooling shrinkage, avoiding shrinkage defects.
Cooling and Shaping: The mold's built-in cooling water channels dissipate heat evenly, allowing the parts to fully solidify within the mold cavity, ensuring dimensional stability.
Post-Demolding Processing: The mold opens and the parts are ejected. Trimming, deburring, and other subsequent processes are completed to obtain the final product.
2. Mainstream Applicable Materials
ABS: Balancing strength and surface gloss, it is widely used in automotive interior panels, vehicle buttons, and other components. PA66 Reinforced: High mechanical strength, wear and corrosion resistant, suitable for high-load structural automotive parts.
PBT+PC Blend: Low warpage, heat aging resistant, suitable for automotive exterior parts and electrical switch components.
PPS: High temperature resistant and flame retardant, widely used in automotive parts operating in high-temperature conditions such as around the engine.
Modified PP: Excellent chemical resistance, a common material for automotive bumpers and interior trim shells.
