1. Design Standards

Dimensional Standards: Mold dimensions must conform to international standards or customer-provided requirements. Tolerances for critical dimensions are typically controlled between ±0.05mm and ±0.1mm, depending on the product's precision requirements.

Material Standards: Mold materials must conform to international standards or customer requirements. Commonly used materials include steel with performance higher than 40Cr.

Process Standards: Mold design must consider the feasibility of processing techniques to ensure successful mold manufacturing and compliance with usage requirements.

2. Manufacturing Standards

Process Requirements: Strict process requirements must be followed during mold manufacturing, including mold base selection, molding part machining, and heat treatment.

Inspection Requirements: Various inspections and tests are required during mold manufacturing, such as dimensional measurements, hardness testing, and sealing tests, to ensure mold quality.

Delivery Requirements: The delivery time and method of the mold must comply with international standards or customer requirements, including delivery date, shipping method, and packaging requirements.

3. Quality Standards

Appearance Quality: The mold appearance should be complete and smooth, without obvious scratches, bubbles, cracks, or other defects. The surface plating or coating should be uniform and firm, without peeling or flaking.

Dimensional Accuracy: The dimensional accuracy of the mold should meet the design requirements, and dimensional deviations should be within the allowable range.

Performance Indicators: The performance indicators of the mold should meet international standards or customer requirements, such as mold life, wear resistance, and corrosion resistance. The minimum lifespan of export molds is usually 1 million cycles, generally ranging from 3 million to 5 million cycles.

4. Material and Hardness Standards

Mold Base Material: Standard mold bases conforming to standards should be selected, such as the German HASCO standard and the American DME standard.

Molding Part Material: The materials for molding parts and the gating system should be materials with performance higher than 40Cr. When molding plastics that are easily corroded by the mold, the molding parts should be made of corrosion-resistant materials, or the molding surfaces should be protected against corrosion. Hardness Requirements: The hardness of molded parts should not be lower than 50 HRC, or the surface hardening treatment hardness should be higher than 600 HV.

5. Ejection and Reset Standards

Ejection Mechanism: Ejection should be smooth, without jamming or abnormal noise. The surface of the angled ejector should be polished, and the angled ejector surface should be lower than the core surface. All ejector pins should have anti-rotation positioning, and each ejector pin should be numbered. The ejection distance should be limited by limit blocks.

Reset Mechanism: The reset spring should be a standard part, and the ends of the spring should not be ground or cut off. The slider and core puller should have stroke limits; small sliders should be limited by springs, and ball screws can be used when springs are inconvenient to install; hydraulic cylinder core pullers must have limit switches.

6. Cooling and Heating System Standards

Cooling System: The cooling or heating system should be fully unobstructed, the seal should be reliable, the system should not leak under 0.5 MPa pressure, and it should be easy to maintain. The size and shape of the sealing groove on the mold base should meet the relevant standard requirements.

Heating System: The heating system should accurately control the mold temperature to ensure the stability of the injection molding process.

7. Gating System Standards

Gate Placement: The gate placement should not affect the product appearance and should meet product assembly requirements.

Runner Design: The runner cross-section and length should be designed reasonably, minimizing the flow path and cross-sectional area to shorten filling and cooling times while ensuring molding quality. Plastic loss in the gating system should be minimized.

8. Hot Runner System Standards

Wiring Layout: The hot runner wiring layout should be reasonable and easy to maintain. Wiring numbers should correspond one-to-one.

Safety Testing: The hot runner should undergo a safety test, with an insulation resistance to ground greater than 2MW. Temperature control cabinets, hot nozzles, and hot runners should use standard parts.

9. Marking and Packaging Standards

Mold Marking: The mold should have clear markings, including mold number, specifications, production date, etc.

Packaging Requirements: Mold packaging should use grease, transparent plastic bags, sterilized wooden crates, etc., to protect the mold from damage during transportation.

10. Safety and Compliance Standards

Safe Operation: Safety factors must be considered during mold design, manufacturing, and use, such as installing protective devices and providing safe operating guidelines.

Compliance: Molds must comply with the laws and regulations of relevant countries and regions, such as environmental protection requirements and safety standards.
