1. Installation

Check Compatibility: Before installation, check the dimensions of the mold and the injection molding machine to ensure they match.

Install Mold: Install the mold onto the injection molding machine. Adjust the distance between the moving and fixed mold plates to be greater than the mold thickness. Then, lift the mold according to the upward markings. During lifting, the mold must be evenly placed between the moving and fixed mold plates of the injection molding machine, ensuring the mold's locating ring is first inserted into the locating hole of the fixed mold plate. Then, close the injection molding machine to ensure the mold is tightly fitted between the two machine plates.

Secure Mold: Adjust the mold's sides to be parallel to the machine plate sides. Secure the mold to the moving and fixed mold plates of the injection molding machine using pressure plates and screws.

Connect Wiring: Connect the water, air, and oil lines.

2. Debugging

Action Check: Perform mold opening, mold closing, and action checks to ensure smooth operation of the ejector pins and slide blocks. For three-plate molds, also check the reliability of the sequence of the sprue plate separation and the A/B plate separation.

Trial Mold Closure Force: Gradually adjust the clamping position, gradually increasing the clamping force until the connecting rod can straighten. It is strictly forbidden to increase the clamping force while the mold is closed to avoid damaging the mold.

Impact Check: Use the smallest possible injection pressure to impact the mold's sprue bushing to prevent damage from repeated impacts.

Gate Check: After mold opening, check that all gates on the fixed mold are unobstructed to avoid excessive injection pressure at other parts of the mold due to blocked gates, causing sticking.

Parameter Settings: Adjust the injection molding machine's ejection stroke according to the mold's technical data, and set relevant parameters according to the water circuit diagram and the water circuit on the mold platen. Set the injection molding machine's temperature, pressure, speed, time, and other parameters according to product requirements and mold characteristics.

Trial Molding: Perform a trial molding operation, observe product quality, and adjust parameters until the expected results are achieved.

3. Operation

Operation Preparation: Operators must be trained and familiar with the mold's operating procedures and safety precautions. Check that the mold's temperature and pressure are normal, and place the plastic raw material into the injection molding machine hopper.

Injection Molding Start: Start the injection molding machine and begin injection molding. After injection molding is complete, open the mold, remove the plastic part, turn off the injection molding machine, and stop injection molding.

Process Monitoring: During operation, remain focused, carefully observe the equipment's operating status and mold processing, and strictly follow the operating procedures. Do not skip any steps or simplify operations. If any equipment abnormality is found, immediately stop operation and report to your supervisor or equipment maintenance personnel.

4. Maintenance

Daily Inspection: Regularly check the mold for wear and replace worn parts promptly; check for any abnormalities in the mold, such as material leakage, jamming, or burning, and address them immediately.

Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean the mold using cleaning agents and tools to remove residual plastic and dust. First, rinse the mold surface with clean water, then soak or spray it with a cleaning agent, and finally rinse it thoroughly with clean water. Place the cleaned mold in a dry, ventilated place to avoid water droplets remaining and affecting mold performance.

Lubrication and Maintenance: Select a suitable lubricant based on the mold material, processing technology, and working environment, and lubricate the mold using methods such as spraying, applying, or soaking. Regularly lubricate sliding parts of the mold, such as sliders, guide pillars, and core-pulling mechanisms, to prevent wear and jamming. The lubrication frequency should be determined based on the mold's usage and the lubricant's performance. Regularly inspect the lubrication system and replace any worn-out lubricant promptly.

Temperature Control: Control the mold's temperature fluctuations to avoid overheating or overcooling, ensuring the mold's stability and precision.
