1. Mold Design and Manufacturing

The mold structure, including the cavity, core, gating system, cooling system, and exhaust system, is designed based on product requirements.

Mold Material Selection: Aluminum alloy molds are used for small-batch production; pre-hardened or quenched steel is used for large-scale production.

Mold Precision Control: Critical dimensional tolerances are typically ±0.05-0.2mm to ensure product consistency.

2. Injection Molding Processing

Raw Material Pretreatment: Hygroscopic materials must be dried to a moisture content of ≤0.02% to prevent bubbles during melting. Regrind must be added at a ratio of ≤20% to minimize impact strength degradation. Specialized masterbatches are used for color matching at a ratio of 3%-5%.

Plasticizing and Melting: The screw rotates to push the raw materials through the barrel, heating them to a uniform melt. Injection Filling: After the mold is closed, the screw injects the melt into the mold cavity at high pressure and speed.

Pressure Holding and Shrinkage Compensation: Maintaining pressure to compensate for shrinkage during cooling, preventing sink marks and voids.

Cooling and Solidification: Circulating cooling medium through the mold's water channels solidifies the plastic into the mold.

Demolding and Removal: Ejectors, tilting ejectors, and other mechanisms eject the part, which is then removed by a robotic arm or manually.

3. Post-Processing Services

Deburring: Trims gates and parting line flash.

Annealing: Heat treatment at 80-120°C is performed on parts with high internal stress to relieve stress.

Surface Treatment: Spraying, electroplating, or laser engraving enhances appearance and functionality.

4. Quality Inspection and Control

Dimensional Inspection: Critical dimensional tolerances are checked using a three-dimensional coordinate measuring machine.

Appearance Inspection: Manual or vision system inspection detects defects such as scratches, flash, and impurities.

Performance Testing: Tensile strength and impact tests are performed on selected samples to verify material properties. Process monitoring: Real-time monitoring of parameters such as barrel temperature, mold temperature, injection pressure, etc. through PLC or MES system, and setting upper and lower limit alarms.
