Key process parameters for TPE injection molding are:

1. Temperature Control

Barrel temperature: This affects plasticizing properties and needs to be adjusted based on material characteristics. Typical temperature settings are: feed section: 150-170°C; center section: 170-180°C; front section: 190-200°C; nozzle: 180°C (slightly lower than the maximum barrel temperature to prevent drooling).

Mold temperature: This affects the cooling rate and molding quality and needs to be set based on product requirements.

2. Pressure Control

Injection pressure: This ensures that the material fully fills the mold cavity, avoiding voids and defects.

Holding pressure: This is typically lower than the injection pressure and is maintained until the product weight stops increasing or shrinkage marks are acceptable to the customer.

3. Speed and Time

Injection speed: This affects filling efficiency and surface quality and needs to be adjusted based on material flowability and product structure.

Molding time: This includes injection time, holding time, and cooling time, and has a decisive impact on product quality.
