Key Design Considerations for Injection Mold Slide
The injection mold slide is a key component used in molds to achieve side core pulling, solving demolding problems related to undercuts, holes, bosses, and other structures on the product sidewalls. Its design considerations are as follows:
1. Angle of the Angled Guide Pillar and Wedge Block:
The wedge block angle is 2°~3° larger than the angled guide pillar to prevent interference. For example, when the angled guide pillar angle is 15°, the wedge block angle is 17°.
2. Slider Positioning Method:
Hanging Table Positioning: The slider insert and slider seat are connected by a hanging table and secured with screws, facilitating machining and mold modification.
Mushroom Head Fixing: Screws are secured from the rear of the slider seat, suitable for split structures.
Pin Plate Positioning: Individual hole positions are positioned using a pressure plate, simplifying machining.
3. Slider Type Selection:
Integral Slider: Suitable for scenarios with larger sliders and larger glue areas; high strength but complex machining.
Split Slider: Used when the slider is smaller; reduces processes and facilitates maintenance.
4. Drive Methods:
Angled Guide Post Drive: Economical, suitable for scenarios with short core-pulling distances and low side-pulling force.
Hydraulic Cylinder Drive: Suitable for scenarios with long core-pulling distances (>30mm) or high side-pulling force; stable operation but higher cost.
